St Mark's Choir

Psallam spiritu et mente: I will sing praise with the spirit, but will sing praise with my mind also.
(1 Corinthians 14.15b)

St Mark's is distinguished by a liturgical style of worship and a choral tradition.

The 18-voice Choir sings each week to glorify God through their music and to enrich and enhance the liturgy of the Sunday 8.00am Choral Eucharist. In addition to hymns, the Choir leads in singing the psalm, communion setting, and anthems. St Mark's Choir is a member of RSCM Australia. Royal School of Church Music is an interdenominational association that aims to support and inspire church leaders, musicians and congregations in music in worship.

The styles of choral music are diverse: 17th century to contemporary compositions; music of other cultures including spirituals; gospel and Latin American; a cappella and accompanied. The music is enhanced by the Walcker pipe organ and an eletronic keyboard.
